Event 1  Sunday, January 4 from 12-2 p.m. Delicious Lunch and Presentation by Marcia Jo Zerivitz Jews of Florida: Century of Stories (previously recorded)Join like-minded people, curious about the region's history and specifically curious about eventful, if fairly recent, local Jewish history for an afternoon delight with buffet lunch, historical discoveries and anecdotes.

A long-time Florida resident, public historian and educator, Ms. Zerivitz was instrumental in compiling the history volume of Jews in Florida, establishing historical trail and getting Jewish History month on the books.

Please come to this fast-pace, fact-filled, entertaining educational presentation even if you've already seen it!

Event 2 will close the 2026 Jewish History commemoration Thursday, January 22 at 2 p.m. Premiere of a new documentary Southwest Florida Jewish Pioneers: A Jewish Visionary: Jane Schiff.

Since 2003, Florida Jewish History Month is on the books. Florida Jewish history trail has been documented and SWFL Jewish history trail is still in the making.
